You can apply the gameplay to standard chess by learning to make the best use of your tempo rather than wasting moves. You’ll also need this to maneuver around squares with a Knight in a closed game. Like popular mobile chess apps, this game gives you a chance to test out your vision with challenges that are similar to puzzles. You can either choose to play a tournament or to play a single game, and there are interesting settings like game location, set material, and piece design. Warhammer 40,000 is originally a game that involves ork battles and all that, but the Regicide version brings chess into the mix! VooFoo studios launched this game about ten years ago and it has established itself as probably the best PS4 chess game. The concept of the game is simple compared to the other games on this list. 9. Battle Vs Chess

There’s something about this game that screams “Battle Chess” aside from the name. The gameplay has a striking resemblance to the Battle Chess and Warhammer 4000 video games. However, there are some distinct differences. For instance, several pieces can fight against each other at a go. The fight is to claim who gets to possess a square on the board. TopWare Interactive brought a new dimension to chess video gaming with this. The game is also available on PSP, Wii, MacOS, and several others.

10. Silver Star Chess

Finally, we have a PS4 chess game that looks like the game we’re used to playing online. No new concepts, no extra graphics, just a good old-fashioned chessboard with normal pieces.
